Division of Quantum Optics and Optoelectronics of Department of Chemical Physics and Optics is active in the field of ultrafast laser spectroscopy. It is primarily focused on understanding ultrafast processes ocurring in semiconductors and semiconductor nanostrucures with application potential in spintronics, photovoltaics and optoelectronics. Laboratory of Opto-Spintronics, the joint laboratory of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and of Institute of Physics, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, is incorporated into the division.
