About the system
The station measures changes in electrical resistance of thin-film sensing materials during exposure to small concentrations of test gases in synthetic air at ambient pressure. Two- and four-point electrical configurations and programmed temperature/gas cycles are supported.
Experimental methods
- Conductometry: two- or four-point resistance measurements of sensing films during controlled gas exposure
Further equipment & capabilities
- Mass-flow controllers for accurate synthetic-air/test-gas mixtures
- PID-controlled sample heating
- Computer control and automated acquisition
Typical research topics
- Metal-doped tungsten-oxide sensors
- Cobalt-oxide sensing layers
- Composition–structure–response relationships in functional thin films
