Anotace:

The thesis will be focused on a detailed study of all the mechanisms and processes creating the strong magnetic and electric fields and fast charged particles (electrons and atomic ions) in matter exposed to focused beams of conventional, long-wavelength (Vis-NIR) and free-electron, short-wavelength (XUV/x-ray) high-power lasers. The detailed characterization of a focused laser beam and irradiation conditions represents the first step. Main task of the project is to shed light on a wavelength dependence (from x-rays to IR radiation) of field intensities and particle energies and yields. However, an influence of a pulse duration (from nanoseconds to femtoseconds) and an irradiance should be investigated as well. The work will be performed by using both theoretical and experimental methods and techniques.
